Developing a new clinical data warehouse for the SunClinical Data Institute division. Combining data from several different hospitals. Perform data analysis using SQL and Brio to demonstrate capabilities of the data warehouse. Write white papers describing the data assembly process. Design the data models, using DTS, ISQL, BCP and stored procedures to load data. Submit request for additional personnel, evaluate resumes and make hiring recommendations. Write C# programs to move data from client to central location. Technologies used:
MS SQL Server 2000, DTS, Visual Studio .NET, Stored Procedures, scripting.

This business is a small startup requiring a jack-of-all-trades types. Develop a web-based application for school construction projects using MS SQL Server and MS Interdev. Develop an NT service that automates a GUI-based application for the HR department of a major retailer. Specific technologies used include:

= Create the web pages in Visual Interdev using ASP, JavaScript, HTML and VBScript
= Design data models using Visio
= Use XML for reports and export/import

Recent Victories

  1. In October of 1998 I gave a talk to our user's group regarding the latest activities in our project. These activities include porting the application to NT and adding Sybase and SQL Server capabilities.
  2. In October of 1996 I put together a talk and demo that was given to our User's Group as part of the annual User's group meeting held in Nashville. This talk involved 5 different demos using 4 different tools and using 3 different laptops. One laptop ran AIX, another ran Windows and the third switched between Windows and NT. I demoed query access tools including Web tools.
  3. Since June 1997 I have been the project manager for EDW.
  4. Ported a complex Unix application to NT.
  5. Recently completed the Alpha implementation of our product at a customer site. This required overcoming difficulties with the Oracle listener, relinking programs with Oracle 8, adding a new data source for the data warehouse and making changes to the data model.
  6. Wrote 2 custom applications using Visual C++ to create new NT services and using Visual Basic to create a front-end application to control the services. Wrote install script for network printers using 4NT/4DOS. Created several scripts using WinTask.
  7. Wrote my first Palm OS-based application 24 hours after getting my first PDA.

I have a bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the University of Minnesota. Previously I earned a degree in Psychology from the University of Dayton. Less formal education is noted here.
